About our foodbank
Welcome to our website. The Newtownards Foodbank was opened in 2011 as the first Trussell Trust foodbank in Northern Ireland. We are located in House Church in the town and in our satellite branch in the village of Kircubbin in Maxwells Courtyard. We desire to help those who are in food poverty by providing timely help and by signposting them to other agencies for their other needs. We long to see the end of food poverty and are working together with Trussell Trust to help end the need for foodbanks in our country.
Our foodbank is a project founded by House church, working together with local churches, schools and community groups. towards stopping hunger in our local area.
We look to support our clients by welcoming them with a listening ear and a warm cuppa. Our volunteers help to signpost clients so they get all the help they need to overcome the crisis they are facing.
